Mamora reshuffles NIWA, appoints 10 new Area Managers, others

The Managing Director of National Inland Waterway Authority (NIWA), Senator Dr. Adeleke Olorunnimbe Mamora, has rejigged workers at the Authority’s Area Offices nationwide for better service delivery, optimum performance and efficiency.

The decision was taken at the Management meeting held recently at the Headquarters of NIWA in Lokoja, Kogi State.

A statement signed by NIWA’s General manager Mr Tayo Fadile, quoted the mamora as saying the new posting is an attempt to put round pegs in round holes, adding that the officers were carefully selected to enhance the operational efficiency of the Authority, strengthen the revenue drive and provide better service delivery to all the relevant stakeholders nationwide.

Mamora said the appointment takes immediate effect.

According to the statement, 10 Senior Officers were appointed as Area Managers, four redeployed to other Area Offices, seven retained their positions and nine were recalled to the headquarters.

Among the new Area Managers were Mr Tim Shaba Afeso, who was posted to Warri, Engr Fidelis Agbahi, Onitsha and Mr Adewale Akapo in Igbokoda.

Others are; Jude Ogbue (Oguta), Mrs Zainab Ali (Lokoja), Idris U. Abubakar (Makurdi), Akinlabi Akintade (Abeokuta), Al-Hayatt Shaibu (Abuja), Peter Agbaje (Yola) and John Martin Abba (Jalingo).

Redeployed as Area Managers are; Boniface Akubo (Calabar), Henry Adimoha (Yenagoa), Rufus Ogbolato (Port Harcourt) and Kabir Danjuma (Hadejia Jammare).

The seven Area Managers who retained their offices are; Muazu Sambo (Lagos), Adamu Sagir (Eket), Yusuf Birma (Kaduna), and Abubakar Wathanafa (Minna).

Others are; Yimird Dahiru (Maiduguri), Suleiman Gonaji (Yelwa-Yauri) and Bala Bello Mohammed (Sokoto).

Recalled to the headquarters are; the Acting General Manager Business Development Engr. T. Fiberesima, Acting General Manager Special Duties and Project Management, and the Acting General Manager Business Development Mrs Uche Amadi. Others who are to report to the headquarters are Abdullahi Dabai, Engr Daniel Ogbe, Raymon Olekwara, Engr Dakio Horsefall, Dalhatu Isa Danladi Umar, Danladi Bisalla
