In a bid to contribute his quota to road maintainance and sustaining an easy flow of traffic on the highways, a man identified as Olanrewaju Adewuyi single handedly taken a bold step by rehabilitating a major highway in Ogun.

This was gathered by journalists at Aro Neuropsychiatric Hospital Road, along Lagos-Abeokuta expressway, where the good citizen was spotted with his Benz car loaded with rocky stones to fill the big potholes causing grid lock for commuters plying the axis.

In his comment, Adewuyi said, despite the challenges and discouragements to accomplish his aim to create a temporary solution to the near-damaged road before the intervention of the government, he  deemed it fit and persisted until it was achieved.

Adewuyi’s Mercedez Benz car loaded with boulders.

“The government cannot not do it all at a time, but the onus lie on us to also make our own quota to complement the effort of the government. I’m also a commercial driver, I oftentimes ply this road but the hold up here since last week had been quite devastating.

“Many cars have broke down thereby created unexpected spending to owners. So, I decided to take the bull by the horn to make the road free of traffic jam,” Adewuyi said.

A close-by trader, Mrs. Yemisi Adebayo and a motorist,  Mr. Ibiobami Joseph respectively described Adewuyi’s action as quite commendable, enjoined the state government to augment his effort without hesitation to keep the road in good shape.
