Former Emirates Airlines Air Hostess and one of the housemates in the Shine Ya Eyes #BigBrotherNaija Season 6, Maria emerged the fourth Head of House in a keenly contested games.
As winner of the Head of House game, Maria, who was the immediate past deputy Head of House becomes immuned from the nominations for eviction by the housemates for the fourth week.
But Maria, would be the first House mate that would not enjoy the palatial and tastefully furnished Head of House room. She, was suspended for two weeks from the Big Brother room for inviting two housemates Peace and LiquaRose contrary to the Big Brother Naija House rules. The two housemates also suffered the same fate as they too were suspended for two weeks from entering the HoH room in case they ever win the game.
But in a curious twist, just as the housemates were preparing for the biggest task of the night, which is nomination for eviction, Big Brother announced that the Head of House would be the one nominating the housemates she deemed fit for eviction. Big Brother did not say whether her decision would be moderated but declared that her decision on who to be evicted on Sunday is final.
The announcement threw a new twist into the game in the house as every housemates started behaving themselves around Maria, who suddenly was given the the sword of Damocles.
It would be the first time the HoH would be the one deciding the fate of other housemates since the reality show started six years ago, making many viewers to see it as one of the antics Big Brother want to shake up the house and turn it upside down. This season is aptly called Shine ya eyes.
Maria is the fourth Head of House and the second female to hold the title. Housemates who have held the mantle before her are; Peace, who emerged the season’s first Head of House, Boma, and Pere.
Boma also emerged the Deputy Head of House. He goes down in the history of the sixth season as the first to emerge Head of House and Deputy Head of House.
There is palpable fear in the house that this week would be very interesting and most unpredictable.
