The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Enoch Adejare Adeboye at the Friday vigil programme which was the cornerstone of the 71st yearly convention of the church asked his members to pray that God should take his life before day break if he uses any dark powers to deceive the people in the name of miracles.
Adeboye said this at the ongoing weeklong 71st yearly convention of the church which took place at the new Redemption City, Shimawa, Ogun State, on Friday.
He said the prayer was his way of responding to some critics who have been posting false allegations on social media accusing him of using dark powers to deceive them.
He said though he does not often reply critics, but while preparing for the convention, he was led into realising that some people may be believing these kinds of people and that he needed to settle the allegation permanently.
He raised a prayer point which he asked his members to pray fervently; that if he is deceiving his members, let God kill him before daybreak, so that the people would know that God has carried out judgement on him, but if it is otherwise and that he does not mix anything with the anointing of God on his life, then God should give him powers that is seven times more powerful.
Speaking on the theme: Beyond Expectation, Adeboye said God who is El-Shaddai, is a God that does not do little little things but only want to bless you, but want to fill you to overflowing so that you can walk in the surplus.
Citing several biblical passages, Adeboye said he can raise you up so mightily that he may ask that angels begin to walk with you and serve you.
