Assessing the electoral process so far and the inherent deductions, the member-elect Lagos Mainland Hon. Olanrewaju Oshun has counseled politicians never to renege on their promises to the people and to maintain closer relationship with their constituents.
Oshun who gave the counsel after casting his vote at polling unit 004 in Lagos Mainland, linked the behavioural pattern of voters at the polling units to existing relationships with whoever they tend to eventually cast their votes.
“Politicians should understand that you need to fulfill your political promises and be very close to the people .
Oshun however, commended the process while comparing the previous election and that of the Gubernatorial and House of Assembly held Saturday 18th March 2023, citing the fact that the latter is more seamless than that of the Presidential and NASS election held on 25th of February.
“So far so good it’s been wonderful with the timely arrival of INEC officials, functionality of the BVAS no faults at all,it is good, last time we had hitches which was fixed before the end of the process but today it is an improved version of 25th February.
“Let the votes be counted and the best candidate will win at the end of the day”. Oshun said.
