Nasarawa Governor’s father hospitalised over COVID-19

Father of Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, Alhaji Sule Bawa has been rushed to the isolation center at Dalhart Araf Specialist Hospital, Lafia, over suspected case of COVID-19.

Alhaji Bawa is the Emir of Gudi Town in Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

A resident of Gudi who prefers anonymity said “the Chief of Gudi, Alhaji Sule Bawa developed fever and started coughing, this led to his being rushed to the VIP section of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, (DASH) in Lafia on Wednesday.

“Same Wednesday, a team of health personnel fumigated the Palace and the Personal residence of the governor,” he said.

Sources said it is not clear whether the Emir contacted the Coronavirus disease, because his chiefs used to visit him to pay homage especially on market days.

When contacted, the Chief Medical Director of the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital Doctor Hassan Ikrimat said, “It is unethical to disclose the identity of any patient.”
