Olam Agri, a leading agribusiness in Nigeria specializing in food, feed, and fibre, continues to demonstrate its unwavering dedication to improving the lives of Nigerians across the value chain. The company’s Integrated Feed & Animal Protein (IFP) unit has announced a significant back-to-school scholarship initiative, a testament to its commitment to community development for the children of its employees and members of its host communities in Ilorin and Kaduna.
This initiative is part of Olam Agri’s Seeds for the Future (SFTF) initiative, which is committed to ensuring a secure and sustainable future for local populations. The scholarships cover educational expenses for selected students, including tuition, books, and uniforms. By investing in education, Olam Agri aims to create brighter futures for young people while contributing to the development of local communities.
Amit Agarwal, Business Head of Integrated Feed & Protein at Olam Agri, stated, “We believe education is a fundamental right and a powerful tool for unlocking potential. These scholarships represent our investment in the future of our employees’ children and those in the communities we serve. We hope this support will inspire them to achieve their academic goals and contribute to society.”
Anil Nair, Managing Director of Olam Agri in Nigeria, added, “As a business that started in Nigeria 35 years ago, we prioritize investments that positively impact the communities where we operate, aligning with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda. By providing educational opportunities, we are helping to build a more sustainable and progressive future for the beneficiaries.”
