New Commissioner Vows To Sustain Tempo Of Excellence In Lagos Owned Institutions

Lagos State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Mr  Tolani Sule has pledged his commitment to sustaining the current tempo of excellence across all the State owned institutions, adding that the State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu had invested in infrastructure and  quality   Tertiary education, hence , the time to hit the ground running is now.

Sule made the pledge yesterday during his visit to the new Ministry shortly after the inauguration of the State Executive Council by Governor Sanwo-Olu at the Secretariat, Alausa.

The Commissioner who was received by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, ADENIRAN Kasali and  top Management staff,  noted that the establishment of two additional State Universities by the State government was a direct response to the need to provide youths with an un- restricted access to University education.

While commending his predecessor, Tokunbo Wahab for  working hard to ensure that the vision for additional State Universities by the State government was realized, the new Commissioner assured that his administration would work harder to sustain the current tempo of excellence in all the State owned institutions.

The Commissioner who urged the staff to join hands with him in implementing govt reform policies that would help to raise the bar of Tertiary education in the State,  noted that it was not a coincidence that LASU and the two newly established   State Universities LASUED and LASUSTECH  became first choice institutions, but a practical example  that the State government investment  in Tertiary education yielding positive result.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, ADENIRAN Kasali explained that the new Ministry was blessed with human capital and material resources needed for good performance. He assured the new Commissioner that his staff would give all necessary support that would FasTrack  growing rate of  development in the State owned institutions.
