SUNRISE NEWS, Lagos, July 18, 2020 The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC0 on Friday said only three deaths were recorded while 600 new cases were recorded in Nigeria, taking the total caseload to 35,454. Total number of tested samples tested in the country to date stands at 206,422.
Highlights of the total caseload released by 1:19am showed that 14,633 cases have been discharged and 772 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital territory. According to the agency, Lagos maintained the lead with 129 new cases, while Abuja, breasted the tape to come a close second with 118 cases and Oyo came third with 87 new cases.
The full breakdown according to the showed that closely following Oyo on the ladder is Kano with 55 new cases. Others are; Benue (42), Enugu (35), Kwara (28), Imo (16), Ogun (13), Kaduna (12), Ondo (12), Delta (11), Edo (11), Plateau (8), Nasarawa (6), Ekiti (6), Niger (6), Borno (4), Abia (4), Gombe (3).
