Nigeria records 575 new COVID-19 cases, taking total to 31,323

SUNRISE NEWS, Lagos, July 11, 2020 The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) gave a new daily Coronavirus figure of 575, taking the total caseload to 31,323.

Out of this, total national active cases are 17,819, while 12,795 people have been discharged while 709 deaths have been recorded since the disease brike out in the country on fenrary 27, 2020.

It also said a total of 175,656 samples have been tested so far, as the disease spread across the entire country.

The agency said 575 new confirmed cases and 20 deaths were recorded in Nigeria on Friday, adding that no state has recorded any new case in the last 24 hours.

Highlight of the spread of the disease state by state showed that the 575 new cases are reported from 18 states- Lagos(224), Oyo(85), FCT(68), Rivers(49), Kaduna(39), Edo(31), Enugu(30), Delta(11), Niger(10), Katsina(9), Ebonyi(5), Gombe(3), Jigawa(3), Plateau(2), Nassarawa(2), Borno(2), Kano(1), Abia(1)
