SUNRISE NEWS, Lagos, Sept 9, 2020 Two hundred and ninety six new COVID-19 cases and six deaths were recorded on Tuesday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said.
According to the highlight posted on its website, NCDC said the new cases were record in 15 states of the federation.
The new figure took the total caseload in the country to to 55456 out of which 43334 cases have been discharged, while a total 1067 deaths have been recorded in the country.
The 296 new cases are reported from 15 states – Plateau (183), Lagos (33), FCT (25), Ogun (16), Oyo (7), Ekiti (6), Kwara (5), Ondo (5), Imo (3), Anambra (3), Nasarawa (3), Rivers (2), Gombe (2), Edo (2), Akwa Ibom (1).
