Nigeria vs Ghana: Eguavoen singles out one Super Eagles star for praise

Super Eagles interim coach, Austine Eguavoen has named Slavia Prague winger, Peter Olayinka as one of the Super Eagles’ players he adores his professionalism and would always like to work with.

He said the winger is not someone who likes to dictate for the coaches like other players.

Eguavoen hailed Olayinka for his professionalism by being one of the players he handed late call-ups to the Africa Cup of Nations squad and the player reported immediately without any complaint.

Eguavoen has also put the 26-year-old on his standby list for the World Cup playoff matches with Ghana and, according to him, the winger displayed maturity when told he may not play a part in the matches.

“Awoniyi I spoke with as well, even Olayinka who we brought 48 hours before we went to Cameroon, I adore his professionalism,” Eguavoen told the press on Monday.

“Even when I spoke to him that he won’t be part of this, he agreed and said anytime that I call upon him he will be available, these are the kind of people we want to work with.

“He’s not someone who wants to dictate”.
