In an electrifying turn of events this Monday, 18th September 2023, the Nigerian music industry witnessed a historic moment as the legendary Eedris Abdulkareem, a name synonymous with hip-hop, R&B, and Afrobeat, visited his music home at Bullion headquarters. The purpose of his visit was to receive his official endorsement letter for the highly anticipated 2023 European tour that promises to set the continent ablaze.
Eedris Abdulkareem, whose musical journey has been a testament to resilience and creativity, was accorded a warm and grandiose welcome by none other than the Chief Executive Director of Bullion Records, the esteemed Comrade Olufemi Ajadi. Their friendship, weathered by time and nurtured by collaboration, was on full display as they clasped hands, celebrating a bond that transcends music.
Addressing a gathering of journalists, Comrade Olufemi Ajadi, with genuine admiration in his eyes, spoke of Eedris’s monumental contributions to the growth and success of Bullion Records. “It is a significant development to have the musical legend in our midst today,” he beamed, his pride evident. “Witnessing our staff buzzing with excitement around him is truly heartening. I wish you sound health and the divine wisdom to navigate your forthcoming European tour with great success,” he added, his words resonating with hope and well wishes.
It could be recalled that Bullion Records had earlier signed a five-year records deal with Abdulkareem and one of the official documents shows that the artist has been in a cordial relationship with the records for the past six years.
Excerpts from another official document signed by both parties read:
“Offer of Management Deal. RE: Eedris AbdulKareem.
“Sequel to our numerous discussions via telephone and physical meeting in the last few weeks as well as the board meeting we the management of Bullion Records held on the 6th of February, 2019, we are pleased to use this medium to offer you a management deal on the following terms and conditions:
“Five (5) Year’s tenure with 70% to Artiste; 30% to Record Label (For shows and Endorsement).
“Contract renewal -Subject to Negotiation.
“All other enumerations shall be discussed with you pending your acceptance of this Deal.”
In response, Eedris Abdulkareem, a man whose lyrical prowess has inspired generations, conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to Ajadi.
