Chief Justice of Nigeria Justice Tanko Mohammed has resigned.
News about the resignation of the CJN filtered in on Monday morning, and Arise Television flagged it on The Morning Show.
The CJN had been in the eye of the storm of recent when his colleague Justices of the Supreme Court accused in a petition questioned the spendings of the judiciary under him.
Though he immediately responded pointing to the paucity of funds and the fact that all spendings of the apex court are statutory and can not be spent on the whims of the CJN or any authority designs to disburse it’s funding.
