NNPP Chieftain Olufemi Ajadi Honors Nigerian Institute of Journalism Lecturer’s Daughter at Traditional Wedding

Chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples’ Party (NNPP), Olufemi Ajadi, played a significant role in a joyous occasion on Saturday, September 2nd, 2023, as he graced the traditional marriage ceremony between Ezinne Osuji, the daughter of Micheal Osuji, the distinguished Head of the Department of Mass Communication at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), and Mr. Bright Izu.

The celebratory event took place at the picturesque Osuji’s Compound, Mowo, Badagry.

In a vibrant display of culture and tradition, the ceremony brought together family, friends, and well-wishers from various walks of life to witness the union of these two individuals. The couple, Ezinne Osuji and Mr. Bright Izu, radiated happiness as they embarked on this important journey of love and commitment.

While being interviewed by our correspondent, Ajadi said Mr. Osuji was an amiable lecturer and that he had always guided him through his academic difficulties while he was a student at NIJ.

He said, “Nigerian Institute of Journalism is a school where students and lecturers are seen like one family where everyone wishes one another well wishes and that is why we are here today to celebrate the joyous day of the daughter of our father, Mr. Mike Osuji.”

“I wish you, Ezinne, and Bright a happy married life. May your journey together be filled with love, joy, and endless blessings as you walk hand in hand through the beautiful path of marriage,” he said.

The Osuji’s Compound, nestled in the heart of Mowo, Badagry, provided a picturesque backdrop for the traditional marriage ceremony. Decorated with vibrant colors and adorned with traditional embellishments, the venue exuded an atmosphere of joy and festivity.

Some of the Management Staff of NIJ that honored the occasion were the Deputy Provost of NIJ, Dr. Dele Omojuyigbe; the registrar of the school, Mrs. Patricia Kalesanwo; the H.O.D General Studies, Dr. Adeboye Ola; Chief Lecturer and Director of Special Programmes, Dr. Jide Johnson; the Students Affairs Officer, Mrs. Esther Eke and the ICT Coordinator and a lecturer, Miss. Josephine Okocha.

Other lecturers in attendance were Mr. Ezenwa Cami; Mr. Femi Osuntoki; Mr. Akin-ojo and Mr. Amaso Jack.

Guests were treated to a rich display of Nigerian culture, including traditional dances, music, and cuisine, which added to the overall sense of celebration and unity. The event was a testament to the resilience of Nigerian traditions and the bonds that tie families and communities together.

The ceremony was a reflection of the rich tapestry of Nigerian life, where politics, academia, and tradition intersected to celebrate the love and union of two individuals.
