In a resounding celebration, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Ogun West Senatorial Caretaker Chairman, Honorable Atele Jeremiah Nunayon, conveyed warm congratulations to Governor Abba Yusuf on his Supreme Court victory, affirming his legitimacy as the duly elected Governor of Kano State.
Hailing from Ipokia Local Government in Ogun State, Atele expressed profound joy on behalf of the party members nationwide, emphasizing the significance of Yusuf’s triumph.
The Supreme Court’s five-member panel unequivocally upheld Yusuf’s election, overturning previous decisions by the tribunal and the Court of Appeal.
Atele, formerly the deputy organizing secretary of NNPP Ogun State, highlighted the well-deserved nature of the victory and its positive implications for Kano State during an interview in his senatorial district.
Acknowledging the instrumental role played by Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, the Southwest leader of NNPP and the party’s gubernatorial candidate in Ogun State, Atele praised Ajadi’s unwavering commitment throughout the electoral trial of Abba Yusuf.
Anticipating success in Ogun State’s 2027 gubernatorial race, Atele confidently declared Ajadi as the next governor, attributing the victory in Kano as a precursor to Ogun State’s political landscape.
Dismissing claims of factionalism within NNPP Ogun State, Atele clarified Prince Alhaji Ibrahim Adekunle as the authentic chairman, cautioning against impersonation.
Commending Comrade Kilamuwaye Badmus Bako, the Southwest PRO of the party, for consistent support, Atele urged local government chairmen to disregard purportedly expelled members publishing misleading information.
Atele advised party members to question those claiming legitimacy while emphasizing the absence of their presence in Kano during the victory celebration, contrasting it with the support shown by Southwest NNPP chieftain Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo.
“I urge all local government chairmen across Ogun West, including Yewa South, Imeko Afon, Ado Odo Ota, Ipokia, and Yewa North, to disregard the fake news published by expelled members of our party who are falsely claiming to be the authentic executives.
“Please question them on why they did not go to Kano to felicitate with Abba, as our Southwest NNPP chieftain and principal, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, did.”
The NNPP Ogun West Senatorial Caretaker Chairman exuded optimism, setting the stage for a vibrant political future in both Kano and Ogun States under the banner of the New Nigeria People’s Party.
