The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday announced an adjusted schedule of activities for the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
According to the announcement signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary Suleiman Argungu, the last day for the submission of all completed forms and accompanying documents has been fixed for Wednesday May 11, 2022, while the screening of aspirants would begin on Friday, May 13, 2022 with the States House of Assembly aspirants.
Governorship, House of Representatives, Senate and Presidential aspirants screening comes up on Saturday May 14, 2022, while results of all screened aspirants would begin with that of aspirants of the States House of Assembly is slated for publication on Saturday, May 14, 2022, while those of House of Representatives Senate, Governorship and Presidential aspirants are to be published on Sunday May 15, 2022.
Congresses to elect Local Government Areas, State and National delegates would held between Monday May 16, 2022 and Tuesday May 17, 2022, while congress election appeals would hold at the party’s secretariat on Wednesday May 18, 2022.
Appeals of screening aspirants would begin on Wednesday May 18, 2022, for States House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate and Governorship, while Monday May 23, 2022 have been fixed for appeals on screened Presidential aspirants.
Primary election begins on Friday May 20, 2022, for Governorship aspirants, while States House of Assembly would come up on Sunday May 22, 2022. Primaries for House of Representatives comes up on Tuesday 24, 2022, while primaries for Senate will take place on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
Election appeals would begin on Saturday May 21, 2022, with the governorship primaries, while that of States House of Assembly would take place on Monday May 23, 2022, House of Representatives, Wednesday, May 25, 2022, and Senate Friday, May 27, 2022.
The Special Convention for Presidential primaries would hold between Monday May 30, 2022 and Wednesday, June 1, 2022.
