NSCDC Acting CG reiterates blueprint on Agro-Rangers and critical infrastructure

The Acting Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kelechi Madu has reiterated the need for a blueprint in Agro-Rangers and the Critical Infrastructure and National Assets to further enhance the efficiency of the Corps. 

Madu made the call while kickstarting his national working visit at the FCT Command Abuja on Friday.

The Acting C.G. while imploring the officers and men of the FCT command  of NSCDC to embrace professionalism in the discharge of their constitutional mandate, said that the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is solidly behind the Corps. 

He said that on assumption of office, the Minister mandated the Corps to come up with a blue print in two key areas comprising the Agro-Rangers and the Critical Infrastructure and National Assets to further enhance the efficiency of the Corps. 

He disclosed, that the Minister gave assurance that he would assist the Corps in transforming the Agro-Rangers as well as support the adequate protection of the nation’s Critical Infrastructure and National Assets so as to curb the incessant pipeline fire explosions.

The Acting NSCDC boss charged all the officers and men to adhere to COVID-19 protocols stressing that the Corps personnel should be in the vanguard of enforcing the COVID-19 protocols in Nigeria. 

According to him President Muhammadu Buhari is very particular about  the enforcement of the COVID-19, as he has called on all Nigerians to maintain the highest hygiene possible stating that defaulters of COVID-19 should be sanctioned.

Madu called on all personnel to redouble their efforts in the discharge of their duties to justify the salary they earn monthly.

The FCT Commandant, Mathias Ohiemi thanked the Acting Commandant General for his visit to the Command and promised that the command would Always abide by the rules guiding the corps.

The Acting CG handed over two operational Nissan Pick Up Vehicles and Motorcycles to Kubwa and  Pyakassa Divisions for optimal performance .
