Embattled Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki foreclosed a return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Obaseki stormed the State Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benin City to pick his party card.
The governor was accompanied by a number of his political associates and admirers.
Obaseki had been screened out of the Party’s forthcoming primaries on Saturday, over his frosty relationship with the National Chairman of the APC Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
It was learnt that Obaseki had gone to meet former President Goodluck Jonathan and other PDP stakeholders in the Southsouth as part of his ongoing consultations with he started earlier with the governors of Rivers and Akwa Ibom States earlier in the week.
