ObiDatti’s followers are organic – Hajia Ireti Kingibe

The Abuja Metropolitan Area Council AMAC FCT Senatorial Candidate in the 2023 general elections Hajia Ireti Kingibe has described the Labour Party’s Presidential candidate Peter Gregory Obi as the man that would bring the desired change in the nation’s polity.

Speaking on Political Paradigm an interview programme on Channels Television on Tuesday, the seasoned politician said the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress Parties have failed the nation, and that was why the nation’s youths are queuing behind the ObiDatti candidacy with the expectation that it would bring the desired change in the country.

She said the Labour Party followership is completely organic and that nobody needs to give anybody any monetary inducement to get to the campaign grounds, unlike the other established parties which usually mobilised their followers.

Ireti, who was wife of the Vice Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Secretary to the Government of the Federation Ambassador Babagana Kingibe said the Labour Party would when it comes to power shut its doors against politicians who have soiled their hands and have helped themselves to the nation’s funds, adding that though they may be welcomed to join the party, but would not be allowed to hold any political office or given any further access to the nation’s funds.

Speaking on AMAC, the seasoned politician said she is prepared to give AMAC better representation.

She said despite being the nation’s capital, indigenes and residents of Abuja have continued to hold the short end of the stick as you find stupendous wealth just circulating within a pocket of highbrow districts.

She said she is confident of winning at the polls on February 25, adding that time has come for quality representation in the FCT adding that time has come for the peoples voice to be heard and for their welfare to receive desired attention.

Ireti Kingibe who speaks Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo fluently is a seasoned politician who despite the visibility of her husband have carved a niche for herself in AMAC and is believed to be enjoying a good following in the FCT.

It is her first time she would be on the ballot as the senatorial candidate of any party in the FCT.
