The Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Mrs. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, has described marriage as an important institution in life and advised youths to always exercise patience in order to make the right choice, while searching for their life partners.
While speaking at the solemnization of a holy matrimony between Prince Adedamola Bodunrin Tejuoso, son of the Osile of Oke-Ona, Egba, Oba (Dr) Adedapo Tejuoso and his wife, Mrs. Oluwadamilola Elizabeth held at the Chapel of Christ the Light, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, on Saturday, the Deputy Governor emphasised on the need for the youths to make the right choice to complement their lives spiritually and morally.
Salako-Oyedele, however, congratulated the families of the newly wedded couples for witnessing such a great day and also seeing their children attaining the great milestone in life.
Earlier in his sermon, the Bishop of African Church, Egba Diocese, Rt. Rev. Peter Oyero, in his sermon, while taking his anchor scripture from the book of Ephesians 5 v 21, urged the couple to respect each other and noted that the husband assumed the head of the home in every situation.
The cleric further admonished the couple to make Christ the head of their home in order to have a blissful union, adding that the wife must submit to his husband morally, financially and in all areas, and likewise the husband must love his wife as Christ love the church. Dignitaries in attendance include former Chief of General Staff (CGS), General Oladipupo Diya, Ogun State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu, wife of the former President Obasanjo, Bola, Iyalode of Yorubaland, Chief (Mrs) Alaba Lawson, Senator Lanre Tejuoso, among others
