The affordable housing programme of the Prince Dapo Abiodun administration in Ogun State is non-discriminatory, as it is designed to accommodate people in the formal and informal sectors.
The General Manager, Ogun State Housing Corporation, Estate Surveyor and Valuer Akinwale Ojo made this clarification during a chat with OGIS correspondent in Abeokuta.
According to him, windows of opportunity was not limited to the formal sector alone, prospective buyers in the informal sector like artisans, traders and others are also eligible to benefit from the affordable housing scheme of Ogun State Government.
The General Manager said the newly built estate which consists of 2 and 3 bedrooms semi-detached and detached bungalows were allocated to low and medium-income earners in both sectors and are provided with amenities such as tarred road, pipe borne water, electricity, drainage, among others.
He lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for his unwavering commitment to the provision of basic needs of life to improve people’s standard of living, as well as promote economic growth of the State.
Ojo said the Corporation had created a Facility Management Unit to respond promptly to the needs of the beneficiaries, urging them to ensure proper maintenance of the estate.
