Ogun monarch pushes for encompassing development

The Akarigbo and Paramount ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi has promised encompassing development through his connection to attract more investors to Ogun State, especially in the area of transportation and others.

Oba Ajayi made this known at his palace in Sagamu while playing host to management of the State Bureau of Transportation (BOT), who were on a sensitisation tour on how to effectively utilise the recently acquired buses by the Monarch to ease transportation problem in the area.

Akarigbo who stressed the importance of transportation in moving goods, services and humans from one place to the other, urged operators in the transport sector to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations guiding the industry in order to make it grow.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Barr. Gbenga Opesanwo, lauded the Oba’s intervention which he said would ease transportation challenges being faced by the people.

Opesanwo, who was represented by the Director of Mass Transit, Engr. Wale Sokunbi, through his Press Officer, Miss Adebukola Adekanmbi, also appealed to the monarch to use his position to continue investing in the sector and many more, urging him not to renege on his promise to invite more investors to the State in the area of transportation and other sectors for the benefit of all.

“Kabiyesi, it is our pleasure to be here today for the kind gesture you add to the transport sector in the state, but sir, we are also asking more of this in other area too, so as to complement the good work of the present administration of Senator Ibikunle Amosun in area of wooing some investors to come and establish investment here,”‎ Opesanwo said.

It would be recalled that the Akarigbo of Sagamu, Oba Babatunde Ajayi recently introduced some buses in Sagamu, to ease transportation challenges of the inhabitants of the area.
