Veteran journalist, public relations expert, and former Chief Press Secretary to several Oyo State governors, Oloye Lekan Alabi, has reportedly passed away.
According to available reports, the Abese Olubadan of Ibadanland died on Saturday morning in Lagos at the age of 76.
Family sources say he will be buried on Sunday in accordance with Islamic rites.
Lekan Alabi was widely respected for his distinguished career in journalism, public relations, cultural advocacy, and public service. He served as Chief Press Secretary to several former governors of the old Oyo State and was a renowned author and custodian of Yoruba history and culture.
