Olumoh a symbol of unique representation says Ajeromi Ifelodun 1 constituents

A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ajeromi Ifelodun Constituency 1 Hon. Lukman Olumoh has been described as a people-oriented legislator, whose projection always is for the upliftment of his constituents.

Constituents of Ajeromi Ifelodun 1 made this assertion at the third edition of a Day free Medical Outreach facilitated in collaboration with Gold Crest Family Centre by Hon Lukman Olumoh.

The compassionate lawmaker noted that it is evident that more time is needed to ensure a huge number of his constituents benefitted from the medical outreach packages.

Hon Olumoh stressed the importance of ensuring his people’s welfare health wise especially that of the women; while adding that given the huge turnout and request by the men, he has decided to extend the coverage and time for which beneficiaries can enjoy the good gesture.

According to Olumoh he had planned to cater for 300 people but now that he had well over a thousand people more time need be allotted for the medical outreach.

Medical check-up for Blood Pressure, Prostrate, Hepatitis B, Breast Cancer, Eye test and free drug distribution to patients forms the thrust of the gathering.

Many of the beneficiaries women and men attested to the humane commitment of the lawmaker-Hon Lukman Olumoh fondly called KOKO in addressing peoples need.

The beneficiaries who cut across all facets of Ajeromi Ifelodun constituency 1, could not hide their gratefulness for the ease with which they can access quality healthcare free of charge.

A community journalist Mr. Ndukwe Ekong was part of beneficiaries of the lawmaker’s gesture.

“The Honourable is doing so great here and I appreciate him because for some weeks now I have not been able to do my work because of my eye glass.

“So, I thank God that today I was able to benefit from it I thank him honestly. I just met an optician and they tested me and recommended the number to my eye glass and I just got it without any stress.

“I thank God, I never knew it could be this easy, to be frank with you why I came was that the last eye glass that I had cost me 70,000 naira at the private hospital and incidentally I lost it same day because I joined the public bus

During an argument with the conductor over my balance for the fare, he hit my eye glass and it fell off and I lost it that very day.”

“That is why I am particularly happy that I get this without stress, I thank the Honourable. We want more of people like him in Lagos State.”

For Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim a member of the Lagos State Audit Service Commission the gesture was a unique one that shows the legislator-Olumoh had constituents in his mind for good.

“Honestly speaking this is a wonderful programme and I give kudos to the Honourable for deeming it fit to make the community benefit. Health is wealth we all know that and to me for him to have done this shows that he has the people in his heart and he is doing quite a lot to assist them.

“I am sure that this will go a long way, from his statement they planned to cater for 300 people but here we have over a thousand, it shows that the people really need it.

“I also benefited from that like he said he had planned for only women but the men also made their request and today he was able to do that for them, we encourage him to continue to do more for our people because accessibility to health is very very key and it is also very expensive for them.

“So, for him to have done this it is a great step to alleviate the suffering of our people and we thank him for that may God continue to bless him.

“We would continue to encourage him to do more, because one thousand is a lot but when you look at the population of this area if we continue this for another two days this place will be filled up to its maximum capacity.

Comrade Ayodeji Saliu from Ifelodun LCDA also a beneficiary of the kind gesture notes that medical outreach is commendable.

“I have just done the prostrate test and waiting for the result which they said will be out in the next five minutes. The medical outreach is commendable. From one table to the other, blood test, BP test and every other test you can think of.

It is commendable and I am proud to say KOKO is really representing us very well. Health is wealth we thank God for KOKO.”
