Ahead of the governorship election in Ondo State, slated for November 16,2024 the All-Progressives Congress (APC) UK South-West Caucus has counselled electorates to re-elect Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as payback for his unmatched developmental strides in the state.
In a statement jointly signed by the Caucus Chairman Hon. Andrew Taiwo and the secretary Mr. Ayodele Adigun, Governor Aiyedatiwa was described as a goal-getter who strived so hard to further reposition Ondo state amidst other states, with a tenacity that clearly affirms the fact that good governance is his hallmark.
According to Hon. Taiwo a renewal of the electoral contract with Governor Aiyedatiwa in Ondo state signals much more developments and well-meaning projects gets live and the Ondo people ultimately reaps immense benefits.
“Imagine his giant strides that runs through Ondo state, especially in the rural areas where government presence has not been well felt in times past, got a hopeful touch.
“In Ten months after the demise of the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu that Aiyedatiwa assumed office as Governor of Ondo state, he had sunk 54 boreholes in rural communities to ensure the availability of potable water.
“He also approved the installation of 1,600 solar-powered streetlights, an attempt to restore and secure night-life in the areas.
“Thanks to his keen interest in the business of governance, essential services such as the reticulation of the Owena Dam for the Ondo Central Senatorial District is another insignia of his purposeful government.
The Caucus boldly vouched for the governor with respect to competence and delivery, citing some of his great feat.
“Ondo state replete with infrastructure, seamless access to qualitative education, conscious effort geared towards job creation, financial interventions, and social welfare, a vote for Aiyedatiwa will redouble all the listed dividend of democracy.
“From Akoko to Okitipupa, Akure to Obe-nla, Ilaje area of the state several projects are being executed to make life more meaningful for the residents, several kilometres of roads are being constructed.
“Food items and huge sums of money were also doled out to the vulnerable to give respite at this trying time aside prompt payment of pensions and gratuity, so Governor Aiyedatiwa is the real deal, APC is the party.”
