Ooni donates motorised fumigator to boost Army’s capacity to fight COVID-19

 His Imperial Majesty Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has donated four Motorised Modular Fumigator assembled by the House of Oduduwa Machine and Tools to the Nigerian Army.

Oba Ogunwusi said the fumigator would help to fight against the transmission of Corona virus which is transmitted through respiratory droplets, which can rest on surfaces for hours and can be transferred from these surfaces through contact.

At the occasion, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai was ably represented by the General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army, Maj Gen AB Omozoje at the Palace of His Imperial Majesty, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

At the ceremony witnessed by council of traditional rulers and chiefs under His Imperial Majesty Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi praised and admired the Nigerian Army for her good representation of the Nigerian nation.

The fumigators

This gesture of His Imperial Majesty is not only enjoyed by the Nigerian Army but also  many communities in the country. Today,  the Nigerian Army took delivery of Two Motorized Modular Fumigators from the House of Oduduwa Machine and Tools courtesy of His Imperial Majesty O’oni of Ife, similar to the ones delivered to many communities in the country courtesy of His Imperial Majesty. This is a homegrown effort of His Imperial Majesty O’oni of Ife to combat Coronavirus disease.

The Ooni of Ife Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, and Maj Gen. Omozoje with other traditional leaders at the event which took place at the House of Oduduwa, Ooni’s Palace, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army Maj Gen AB Omozoje thanked the traditional ruler for the donation to the Nigerian Army.
