The Ooni of Ife Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II and his queen, Silekunola Naomi Ogunwusi has given birth to a crown prince.
A statement by the Director, Media and Public Affairs, to the Palace, Comrade Moses Olafare, which confirmed the development on Wednesday, said the House of Oduduwa wishes to officially inform the general public of the birth of the crown prince.
“This is to officially inform the general public that The Almighty Olodumare has blessed the House Oduduwa with a crown Prince as our mother Yeyeluwa, Olori Silekunola Naomi Ogunwusi gave birth to a bouncing baby boy at the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 18th November 2020.”
Mother and child, Olafare said, are in a perfect condition.
Recall that the House of Oduduwa, has been enmeshed in unfounded speculation since September, about the birth of the Crown Prince and a heir to the throne of Oduduwa.
The news at the time had been debunked as untrue by very powerful sources at the palace.
