Chairman Adesun security service and the Akoni Ile Yoruba, Chief Sunday Adeyemo a.k.a Sunday Igboho, has applauded the Inspector General of Police and all the South West governors for their initiative for the launch of Operation Amotekun to curb security challenges in the south west region.
He appreciated the governor for speaking with one voice despite their political differences which shows that the governor has the security of the masses at heart.
Sunday Igboho in a statement made available to SUNRISE NEWS Correspondent in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, said the new security outfit would help strengthen the operations of the regular security outfits.
He maintained that once there is security there is going to be progress and development in the society.
He further stated that the outfit should not be politicized, adding that it should be allowed to be as it would enhance the protection of lives and properties of the citizens.
Sunday Igboho also advised members of Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Vigilante group of Nigeria (VGN) and others that are involved in the project to maintain decorum and make sure that the constitutional rights of the citizens are not tampered with.
He said Operation Amotekun is beyond any individual, so all and sundry should see it as a call and opportunity to serve their father’s land.
He also promised that Adesun Security Services would give necessary support to Operation Amotekun because anything that concerns the Yoruba race is of paramount interest to him.
Igboho also applauded the Nigeria Police for been there for the masses at all times saying the Inspector General of Police and all the Commissioners Police in the South West should be commended for the great and wonderful work they are doing. He also thanked the traditional rulers for their support and cooperation in making sure that the South West region of the country is safe.
He also urged all and Sundry to support Operation Amotekun because South West has set the pace for other region to follow.
He said that as the Akoni Ile Yoruba is happy that Yoruba’s can now speak with one voice.
