Osun State Governor and Accord Party governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, has extended his lead over the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, in the ongoing governorship election.
Adeleke is currently leading Oyebamiji by 78,227 votes based on the results announced so far from various local government areas across the state.
The incumbent governor is seeking re-election, while Oyebamiji is challenging him on the platform of the APC.
The election, which was held across the 30 local government areas of Osun State, has witnessed keen competition between the major candidates.
Collation of results is ongoing, with more results expected to be announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
