Secretary to Ogun State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, has affirmed that the administration has sustained transparency and fairness as a focused administration that gives no credence to politics of bitterness.

Talabi stated this when he featured on a live television programme tagged “New Dawn” in Abeokuta, saying the administration’s remarkable achievements in the last three years were made possible as it has not allowed politicking to take a toll on governance, but rather deployed it to the advantage of the people of the State.

According to Talabi, “Our administration has played down politicking, we have been transparent, fair as much as practicable. You know there was a lot of political tension prior to Governor Dapo Abiodun’s assumption of duty. He stated categorically that he was in government to better the lots of the people who have voted him to power. How many times has he hit out at anybody or opposition or turned himself into some kind of demigod?

The State’s scribe noted that ‘’the present administration has touched every aspect of life in the last three years, particularly on infrastructure, health, education, agriculture, name it, tell me any aspect we have not impacted’’, he said.

He also hinted that the State government is proactively profiling the commercial Motorcycle riders, with a view to checking their influx from neighboring States, adding that the government has also stepped-up joint security committees and patrols between Lagos, Oyo, as well as other States.

Talabi assured the people of the State more even distribution of the dividends of democracy, irrespective of their region, and in line with the “Building Our Future Together” agenda, saying the government is set to witness monumental investment in Hospitality and Tourism, as well as Transport sectors, as it is exploring the benefits of the Train services and the new Bus Mass Transit System.

He admonished the people to be patient, as the expected change cannot be felt at once, calling on the residents to give necessary feedback to the government to help it deliver effectively.
