Minister of Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed has saluted the Nigerian Armed Forces for their total commitment to the war against terrorism.
The Minister spoke on Monday in Lagos on Morning Show, an interview segment conducted by Yori Folarin on Television Continental (TVC).
He said the war against banditry/terrorism has been challenging for the administration because the military has been up against non asymetric war and the terrorists would always look for the soft underbelly to launch an attack that would reverse all the gains and make the government look helpless.
Mohammed who expressed regrets at the train attack and commiserated with all those who lost loved ones in the accident, explained that the Buhari administration have spent a lot on equipping the nation’s military and these has paid off with the successes recorded against these terrorists until the recent attack on the train last Monday.
He said the administration remained committed to ridding the country of terrorists/bandits who have continued to make a section of the country look insecured.
Mohammed said unlike the situation before 2015 when the Buhari administration came on board, the bandits/terrorists do not control any section of the country despite the seemingly unsafe atmosphere across the Northeast and west of this country.
He rallied Nigerians to continue to support the Buhari administration in its war against terrorism, adding that the government remained committed to winning the war against Boko Haram and terrorism by whatever name it is called in the country.
