No fewer than 100 pupils, excluding teachers, and other auxiliary staff of Baden School, trapped in the collapsed building at Ita Faji, on Lagos Island, this morning are feared dead.
The school which occupies the third floor of the building, situated at Ita Faji, near Adeniji Adele Street on Lagos Island is said to have a minimum of 100 pupils most of whom would be in school today.
The building was said to have came down around 9.30 am. The cause of the collapse is not yet known.
A number of other occupants, residing in the building were also said to be trapped in the rubbles.
Sunrise Nigeria learnt that emergency responders have already moved to the scene of the incident and were evacuating trapped victims.
