A popular Nigerian pastor and media commentator, Idowu Bankole has urged Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in a recent tweet on his X account (@OlubankoleIdowu)to pay attention to the worst state of infrastructure in Lagos Metropolis.
According to Mr Bankole who was particular about the worst state of street lights in Lagos Metropolis, he noted that a basic amenity like street light would go a long way in preventing crimes at odd hours of the day.
While expressing his point of view, he asked Governor Sanwo-Olu to “kindly drive around at night, you will be shocked to notice that the street lights have all gone on what seems like a perpetual light out.”
According to him, the poor state of infrastructure in Lagos metropolis is bad for residents, considering the high “spate of gruesome criminal activities perpetuated by foreign elements bent on frustrating our security agencies”.
