The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at its 566th meeting on Friday, February 10, 2023, approved the expulsion of the Senator Chimaroke Nnamani of Enugu State, and six other chieftains of the party for anti-party activities and other grave offences in violations the party’s constitution (as amended in 2017).
Others expelled by the party are Hon. Chris Ogbu, (Imo State), Ajijola Leteef Oladimeji (Ekiti Central), Olayinka James Olalere (Ekiti Central II), and John Oluwajomiloju Fayose (Ekiti Central 1).
Others are; Oluyinka Akerele (Ekiti North 1), and Jennifer Adenike Emiola (Ekiti South II).
In a statement signed by PDP’s National Publicity Secretary Mr Debo Ologunagba, the expulsion takes immediate effect.
According to him, the NWC’s decision is sequel to the recommendations of the National Disciplinary Committee and pursuant to Section 58 and 59 (1)(g) of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017).
“The PDP charges all members of our Party across the country to remain united and focused on the mission of our party to rescue, rebuild and redirect our nation from misrule,” he said.
