A Peoples Democratic Party Presidential aspirant, Mr Osifo Stanley has counseled Nigerians to avoid violence, as they come out en-masse to vote their choice in Saturday elections.
Osifo made this call at a press conference in Lagos, to officially declare his defection from PDP to the All Progressives Congress.
He claimed that his movement from PDP was predicated on the fact that the APC led administration has done exceptionally well, in the delivery of the dividend of democracy the hapless Nigerian masses.
Osifo said he had to defect to APC having toed all paths of resolution in PDP and no respite in sight.
“I am officially announcing my movement from PDP to APC, myself and my supporters are giving the incumbent President and other candidates of the party support to do more good works.
“I am calling on everyone to look at what the government has done in the last three and a half years.
“An holistic development tackling insurgency, drastic reduction of corruption, visible development, power, agriculture, increase in the GDP and more.
Osifo however enjoined Nigerians to eschew violence as they go out to cast their votes on Saturday.
“We want a peaceful election, not violence riddled elections our people should come out and vote for the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari and all APC candidates, so that the good work can continue.” Osifo said.
