Peter Obi dumps PDP, resigns from presidential race

Frontline Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant Peter Obi, has resigned from the party.

Sunrise News gathered that Obi announced his resignation from the party on Wednesday.

Obi, who was a Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP in 2019, by his resignation, has given vent to his vow that he would not be available to play a second fiddle in the PDP.

There has been a buzz around Peter Obi at the weekend as high power stakes in PDP are said to be mounting pressure on him to step down from the presidential race.

Obi, up till last week has been criss-crossing the country, meeting with PDP-delegates across the state ahead of the PDP Presidential elective convention coming up May 29, 2022.
