A galaxy of Who-is-who in the political and economy of Lagos graced on Friday, the burial of Madam Esther Olufunke Opeifa, mother of Executive Vice Chairman of the Presidential Task Team on the Restoration of Order at Apapa, and former Transportation Secretary of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja Comrade Kayode Opeifa, who was also a former Transportation Commissioner in Lagos State.
The Haven Events Centre, venue of the reception was filled to capacity and spilling over as Nigerians trooped out in their numbers to honour the memory of the virtuous community leader who died at aged 90.
Some of the personalities at the event include the Deputy Chief of Staff to Nigeria’s President Mr Ade Ipaye, and a representative of the All Progressives Congress stalwart Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and former Chairman of the party in Lagos State Chief Dele Ajomale and the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland Gani Adams.
Others are; the former Deputy Governor Dr Idiat Adebule, former Nationa Legal Adviser of the APC, Mr Banire, SAN, representative of the President Dangote Group, and Acting MD Dangote Ports Operations Mr Akin Omole, Obas, and chiefs from Agege and the Speaker Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa, the Corps Marshall of the Federation Dr Boboye Oyeyemi and the Mr Bisi Kazeem of the FRSC Public Education.
Others are; the Head of the Apapa Enforcement Team Mr Kayode Odumosu, a Commissioner of Police, Dean of the School of Transportation, LASU, Prof Samuel Odewunmi and the Managing Director of Lagos State Computerised Vehicle Inspection Service (LACVIS) Mr Segun Obayendo.
