United States President Mr Donald Trump on Wednesday impeached for the second time by the United States congress.

With 232 yes votes against 197 nays, while four congressmen abstained from voting, the United States House of Representatives voted for the ouster of Trump who have been in the eyes of the storm following the November 2020 presidential election loss to the Democratic Party challenger Joe Biden.

Trump was accused to having inspired the massive insurrection and attack at the Capitol, seat of America’s symbol of democracy on January 6, leading to the death of at least one protester.

But Trump has dissociated himself from the violence at the Capitol, describing the protesters as enemies of the Republicans and the movement he stood for.

President Donald Trump has since accepted the verdict of the election, following the ratification of Joe Biden’s victory by the National Assembly lst week, promising a peaceful transition of power to Biden on January 20.

Ten Republican congressmen joined in voting for Trump’s impeachment.
