The London Metro Police on Sunday allegedly arrested the founder of DAAR Communications Plc, Dr Raymond Dokpesi, owners of African Independent Television (AIT), Raypower FM, and Faaji FM radio stations, Sunrise News reliably gathered.
According to multiple sources, Dokpesi was arrested at the Heathrow Airport, London shortly after landing for yet to be disclosed reasons.
Multiple sources said Dokpesi boarded a Lufthansa Air Flight LH916 from Frankfurt to London.
The news platform Whistler which broke the story reported that Dokpesi was picked up at Terminal 2 of Heathrow Airport.
Witnesses to the arrest said: “We were on a flight from Frankfurt to London and as we were about to land in London, we were informed that we should all remain on our seat when the aircraft lands as the police want to carry out a search on the plane.
“We were told not to panic as it was a routine police operation. When we landed, the police came in and ask who is Raymond Dokpesi, he identified himself and the man, who was seen wearing an agbada, was whisked away.”
