RCCG Organises Free Medical Outreach for Community

As part of the effort to assist people most especially the vulnerable, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG) His Majesty Chapel parish has organized free medical outreach for the people in Lagos.
The parish is under province 38 located in the Ahmadiyya area of Lagos State.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen, the Pastor in charge of the parish, Samson Ajayi said the circumstances of things that are happening around prompted the church to organize the medical check-up for the people.
According to him, you realize that some people are suffering from an ailment that they are ignorant of. We realize that people while working collapse and die while some go to bed and could not wake up.
“The leadership of this mission, Pastor Enoch Adeboye feels that it is imperative to contribute to our immediate community and that is what prompted the medical outreach.
“Both Christians and Muslims came around to participate in the medical check-up and Bible says we should love one another. In this program, there is nothing like sentiment. We attend to everyone that comes around to check their medical status.
“As a church, we believe that as Christian Social Responsibility(CSR) is important and we should organize for the people to know their health status. We have the aged, young and old who came to check their medical status”, Ajayi said.
The cleric assured that the church would sustain the program going by the number of people that came out to participate in the program.
“We are going to sustain all our CSR. We gave seed funds to people to boost their businesses. We trust the Lord that this would continue. One of the mandates by pastor Adeboye is for us to impact our society”.
“We intend to sustain this medical outreach. We trust God to put resources in our hands and even take them outside the church premises. The number of people is beyond the number I was thinking about. We never envisaged that we would have that number of people.
“This would also be an avenue to feed the people in our community. What we are doing as the RCCG is just to fulfill the mandate of God as it was laid down by the General Overseer, Pastor Adeboye”, he added.
Pastor Ajayi explained that Church had done quite a several CSR such as giving out JAMB forms to students seeking admission into higher institutions of learning.
His words, “We have done quite a lot of CSR such as purchasing Jamb forms for students seeking admission, purchase laptops for those who got admission into higher institutions. We also distributed foodstuffs to the people and we will continue to do that”.
It was observed that young people have an issue with their BP and were advised to stop drinking and smoking to avoid untimely death.
For those who have issues with their Blood Pressure, the church provides medications to them coupled with spiritually and medical counselling.
The test includes free Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, medical check-up and many more.
The beneficiaries appreciated the church and those with high BP promised to regularly check up with medical practitioners.
