The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has promised that the building of the 10,000 Coastline Worship Centre of the church will be ready in the next 24months.
Adeboye said yesterday at the groundbreaking Ceremony of the Coastline Worship Centre of the Redeemed Church of God National Headquarters, Throne of Grace, Ebutte-Metta, Lagos.
Adeboye who was elated, said that the groundbreaking ceremony is a victory for the church as the battle to get approval for the building took the church more than 13 years.
He pledged that him and his family will be responsible for the 10% of the cost of the building, promising that by the grace of God, the building will be ready in 24 months.
“If permission had come, l will have love that the dedication of the building takes place at my 80th birthday, but we will wait for 24months. We will not died, he said.
Adeboye noted that the ground breaking of the new National Headquarter is another milestone in the divine journey of the RCCG and it is envisioned to attract God’s end time army of youths who are empowered and equipped to fly, deploying the best technology available, to take soul winning to a new level.
He said it will also serve as a sanctuary of intense prayers in accordance with Mathew 21:13 for God to attend to those who pray to him concerning their personal needs, for Nigeria and other nations of the world.
He encouraged members to contribute toward the building of the headquarters church.
In his words, the Pastor in Charge of Region One, Pastor Johnson Odesola said that the building is an iconic building with multiple transportation access to ease traffic in the area.
He posited that Interestingly, the building will be structured to have a helipad to give room for transportation choices such as helicopter, a jetty and a good road network.
He stressed that the irresistible multi-purpose, state of art building will be situated in a coastal environment where worship in an expansive auditorium will be easy, recreational facilities will be handy and serenity will not be betrayed
He asserted that it promises to be an architectural wonder, a basilica where everything befitting of a church is present. It will be a tourism where the architectural wonder will be evangelism by itself and win souls for God.
