Raising a generation of professionals who uphold the values of probity, and integrity in the market place, The Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG), Youth Province 2 (YPC) has recently launched its Young Professionals Club in Lagos.
Tagged: Leveraging Network and Mentorship for Professional Prosperity brought together industry experts, clerics, tech guru, and youths. It featured the inauguration of members, executives, Patrons and mentors.
Speaking at the event, the visioneer and Pastor in Charge of RCCG, Youth Province 2, Pastor Sola Owoeye said that the young professional club represent a beacon of hope, ambition and unity. It is a testament to the power of young minds coming together to forge a brighter future for themselves, their community and the world at large.
According to him, we are not just launching a club: we are igniting a movement- a movement of young professional who hunger for knowledge and personal growth and who are driven by a profound desire to make a difference.
Owoeye posited that in the days, months and years to come, this club will be a platform for personal and professional growth, for networking and mentorship and for giving back to the community. It will be a place where dreams are nurtured and where the extraordinary becomes attainable.
Owoeye, who is the National Youth Pastor of RCCG, noted that this professional club will soon become a national programme of the church as the proposal to accommodate all the young professionals in RCCG across the country is on the table of the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
Also speaking at the event, the President of Young Professional Club, RCCG, Youth Province 2, Engineer Olayinka Oluwadara said that the club was conceived with the purpose of bringing together the brightest minds, the most innovate thinkers and the most passionate doers from various fields.
“Our aim is to create a vibrant platform for networking, collaboration and personal and professional growth”.
“Through this club, we aim to create a space where faith and professionalism intersect, where we can learn from one another, mentor and be mentored, and ultimately inspire positive change within our spheres of influence”.
“Together, we will embark on a journey of growth, learning and service that will not only enrich our careers but also deepen our walk with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ”, he said.
Oluwadara highlighted the values of the club which are: professional consolidation, professional collaboration and co-dependency. We hope to attain great heights professionally in RCCG YP2 through this club as we leverage on inter and intra networking both young professionals and among the younger and older professionals.
He continued: our goals for members is to provide leverage by aiding job prospecting and opportunities in different career fields, ensure career growth among members using different strategies, providing platforms and other means for networking among members and providing platforms for professional mentorship at different levels in collaboration with older professionals.
Oluwadara further said that the measurement and control indexes will be to ensure a minimum of 200 members before the end of the year, 2023 and there will be increase in the number of certification and training that members obtain and effort will be made to keep record of such which will scale in the upcoming year, adding that major training, coaching and networking and major conference will hold before the end of the year and 60% of members will contribute as well as carried along and will be committed.
