Members of the Rotary Club of Mushin Golden and Rotary Club of Lagos Island District 9110, today, shared palliatives worth millions of naira to indigenes of Mushin and its environs.
Distributing the palliatives to families in Mushin, the President, Rotary Club of Mushin Golden, Rotarian Abiola-Ishola Olasunmayo; urged the people to appreciate and manage whatever is made available to them as they know that rotary is just there for the service of humanity.
According to the President, this is the fourth phase of palliatives to be shared with the people, since the COVID-19 lockdown and that is why we target 10,000 souls in Mushin area, to benefit from this one today and thank God we have made progress as you can see.
He also urged the beneficiaries to be appreciative because it is not easy to take one out of two that you have and give out. People should also understand that rotary is not funded by the government or any individual but by the voluntary donations by Rotarians and friends of rotary.
Olasunmayo asked that people should emulate Rotary International because nobody is rich and nobody is poor, adding that serving humanity is the greatest service of man to God’s creation.
Items distributed at the sensitization and COVID-19 palliative support were food items, hand sanitizers, antiseptic soaps and face masks.
