Sack: NBA describes Umahi’s outburst as ‘executive rascality’

NBA President Olumide Akpata

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has slammed the outburst of Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State after he was sacked by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, describing it as executive rascality.

Justice Inyang Ekwo on Tuesday had ruled that Umahi and his deputy, Eric Kelechi Igwe, must stop parading themselves as governor and deputy governor respectively after they defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Umahi had slammed Ekwo, calling him a hatchet man, adding that the court did not have the power to sack him.
