Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola sanwo-Olu on Tuesday visited the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre and had a brief meeting with the league of reporters covering the activities of his administration.
It was the first time that any sitting governor would ever visit the centre since the beginning of the Nigeria’s fourth democratic republic in 1999.
Sanwo-Olu praised the the indistry and tenacity of the reporters covering the activities of the government and urged them to continue to do more in projecting the activities of his government positively.
He expressed the commitment of his administration to continue to work in the interest of the people of Lagos State, and urged the reporters to do their work without fear or favour.
The visit also availed the leadership of the press corps, led by George Okojie to present to the governor two books authored by the press corps.
He assured the governor that the reporters would continue to do their best in projecting the image of the government positively.
Sanwo-Olu was accompanied on the visit by the Deputy Governor Dr Obafemi Hamzat, the Head of Service Mr Hakeem Muri Okunola, the Secretary to the State Government Mrs Modupe Jaji, the Chief of Staff Mr Tayo Ayinde, among others.
