In fairness, many football academies have come and gone. Some have recorded success while some have been defeated by the Nigeria factor. Schimchi FC has brought joy and dynamism to the future of the game called football. The Academy has a team of great individuals in their ranks of the management body. This team has dedicated their time, energy, and resources towards achieving a common goal in all the units of the game.
This academy has assembled great players through transparent screening and trial exercise to select their players. These youth are dedicated guys who are willing to make a sacrifice.
In my recent survey and visit to their training ground prompted me to write this article and I pray it has a significant effect going forward. This academy like any other new project needs to be supported, sustain, and promoted. I appreciate the efforts and determination of the leadership structure and management team of the academy. They have developed robust channels with other football management bodies across the country. They have also established affiliation channels with clubs in Europe and Asia peninsula. Real Betis, Real Sociedad are among the club in Europe helping in support of their player development. UAE has also established contact with Schimchi FC. There was a tournament to which they got invited in March last year but canceled due to COVID-19.
The only challenge a notice is a team and project like this need promoters, sponsors, and investors that will share the same dream with this management team. And there is a lot of benefit for this individual or organization that goes into partnership with this academy in the area of return of investment, an increase of visibility and advertisement for such institution/company’s products.
Truly, I use this medium, my pen, and this platform to solicit support and I encourage any individual to partner with this football Academy and their management team. Honorable Adetona Oluwagbenga aka (Schimchi) is the Managing Director of the club, a man with impeccable integrity, along with Honorable Osobe Oluwakayode the Director of Welfare is a man of respectable status, Mr. David the Deputy Chair of the academy is a good man with a fair conscience. Mr. Solomon is the Training Director a dependable man of God who oversees the day-to-day running of the academy. And Mr. Samson the secretary of the Schimchi Sport Management, a simple man which is background contribution remains immeasurable. Olasunkanmi Alabi is the PRO in charge of the publicity and promotion of the academy. He is doing a great job.
This Schimchi if properly nurtured and get the funding and support needed to prosper, could be the touch-bearer for the next generation of the golden era.
