Nigeria’s efforts at fighting corruption and insecurity would x-rayed at a one-day conference organized by Scroll Report Online Publication, at the Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos on Thursday.
A statement by Janet Mba Afolabi, CNN award winning journalist and Publisher of Scroll Report said the theme of the conference is: “Fighting Corruption and Insecurity: The Way Forward”.
According to her, the theme of the theme was meant to assess the nation’s fight against corruption and how it has been coping with the prevailing insecurity across the country.
She said over 2 million people have been displaced as a result of the growing insecurity, especially in the Northeast axis of the country, while about 3.5 million Nigerians suffer from acute food insecurity and malnutrition, in the last six years.
Discussants from different walks of life are expected to be at the conference to discuss the way forward in the fight against corruption and insecurity.
