The Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State, CP Musa Kimo has described the service of the police in ensuring security of corps members in the state as ‘not an option but a fundamental duty of the police’.
CP Musa made this statement while receiving the NYSC team led by the Akwa Ibom NYSC State Co-ordinator, Mr Amusan O.J who paid him a courtesy visit in his Office in Uyo.
He further assured the NYSC team of continued partnership with the Scheme.
While soliciting the cooperation of the security agency in guaranteeing corps security in the forth coming general election, Mr Amusan O.J commended the effort and responsiveness of the police in assisting the Scheme whenever they are called upon.
On the State Coordinator’s entourage were Mrs Jane Okpongete AD (CIM), Mr Linus Edor (PRO) and Barr (Mrs) Ekeke Sandra (Legal Officer).
