Eti Osa Local Government has partnered with Entafield Dental Clinic to launch the ‘Smile Lagos: 1000 Denture Project,’ a free dental care outreach programme aimed at transforming the lives of over 1,000 Lagosians.
The initiative is designed to enhance smiles and boost the confidence of residents by providing top-quality dental care at no cost will be held on August 13th – 20th, 2024.
Chief Dental Officer of Entafield Dental Clinic, Dr. Cherry Ozoalor, emphasized the significance of the project, stating that it is specifically tailored to address dental health issues that significantly impact individuals’ quality of life and self-esteem. “Through this initiative, we aim to eliminate financial barriers and provide essential dental treatments to those who need them most,” Dr. Ozoalor said.
“Our commitment to the well-being of Lagosians extends beyond mere dental care. With the ‘Smile Lagos: 1000 Denture Project,’ we aim to transform lives by enhancing smiles and boosting the confidence of individuals who might otherwise lack access to these critical services,” she added.
The outreach will also focus on educating Lagosians about the importance of oral health and the profound impact that dental treatments can have on improving quality of life and self-esteem. By offering high-quality dental care to 1,000 individuals from underserved communities, the project seeks to eliminate financial obstacles, improve oral aesthetics, and ultimately increase confidence, social inclusion, and opportunities both personally and professionally.
The initiative is supported by the Lagos State Government, corporate organizations, health-focused non-governmental organizations, and medical associations, all working together to ensure the success of the campaign.

Chairman of Eti Osa Local Government, Mr Saheed Bankole, praised the initiative, expressing gratitude to Entafield Dental Clinic for bringing such a valuable project to the area.
He noted that the programme aligns with the council’s health objectives and is a testament to their commitment to improving the health and daily confidence of residents.
